"Super
Affiliate" Secrets: Are You Ready
To Make BIG Buck$ On The Internet?
Keyword research and
Article writing….
I forgot the last time, that you have
to have hosting for your domain. I have been using several hosting and
different autoresponders before but they have been ok not that good.
What I got recomended by a friend of mine was a great web hosting and I
joined. I am glad that I did because it is a
great hosting service. Actually it’s
not only a web hosting, but a complete Internet Marketing Solution with
autoresponders, add trackers, product management, affiliate management,
membership management tool…Well they have it all. Everything
is so easy because they provide a good structure.
And the price is great for all of this.
Go here and see for your self: Ultimate
Marketing Center.
After I get my
hosting it is time to go to http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com and
choose a keyword for my topic or
choose my main keyword. Then I will write a simple
article with 250/350 words. So I choosed my main keyword. Wrote an
article aroung 30 words with my keyword as anchor and uploaded it to my
website.
The reason I do this is to get indexed
by google and other search engines faster.
After this I wrote an article around
my subject with a good keyword, and had my resource box at the bottom
of the article. I submitted the article to http://www.ezinearticles.com.
I forgot and important
tip…Be sure to add link to your site at the resource box.
Have your main keyword as anchor text and hyperlink it to your site.
It is weekend and all so I will
continue on monday and I will talk about blogging.
Have
a nice weekend….
Setting up my affiliate
marketing blog on my domain
So after I have been uploading my
index page to my site and submittting my article to ezinearticles.com, it is time to
build a blog on my domain.
The blog system I am going to use is
wordpress. Because it is the best blogging platform out there and
wordpress is easy to install. I log in to my cPanel and click on the
fantastico icon. There I will be able to install it in less then 4
clicks.
You will need a blog to communicate
with your readers/customers, to get backlinks. It is easy to update
fresh content and you almost don’t need to do any keyword
research.
Lets move on…..
I installed my wordpress blog as a
subdirectory, e.g. www.mydomain.com/blog.
Then I typed free wordpress theme at
google and looked at sites shown up there and found a great theme for
my blog. I uploaded the theme to my wordpress directory.
This is what I did step by step to
tweak my blog and have it ready:
- After I had uploaded the theme, I went
to the admin area and deleted the blogroll
- I wrote the about me page. Important
so that the readers know who you are
- Then it was time to install some
plugins. These plugins will help my blog to get higher rankings in
google and will make my blogging easier.
- The plugins I installed were;
- SEO
Title Tag: Get better
rankings because the keyword is placed before the blog title
- Ultimate
Tag Warrior: Assign tags
(keywords) to your post. A MUST HAVE.
- Google
Sitemap Generator: XML Sitemap
for Google, Yahoo and MSN.
- Chicklet
Creator: Adds RSS
button to your blog so that people can subscribe to it
- Sociable: This plugin
adds automatically social bookmarking services icons to the bottom of
each post.
- Tagalize
it:Quickly and
easly tag technorati.
- Tan
Tan Noodles:Allows you to
view your google analytics and feedburner stats from your wordpress
admin section.
Thats
it. Now I have installed my blog and made it ready. I am going to add
content to it every day at the beggining to get it live.
Keyword research for my
niche…
It is time to research for keywords to
my site’s categories and secondry pages. This is what I am
going to do.
I am going to research and find 40
profitable keywords. They are going to be keywords with;
- High number of searches
- Low competition
It is also important to see numbers of
adwords ad for each keyword to see the profitability of the
keyword….
When doing a keyword research one must
think out of the box and brainstorm lateral and variety of keywords
related to your niche.
A hint: Choose also the names of the
products in your niche as keywords. They are low competetive but can be
profitable.
So
I am going to choose 40 keywords for my niche. Keyword research is one
of the hardest part of this process, so you have to take your time,
this will at least take a hole day…
How I find my keywords
and the tool I use…
pt>I told you last time that step 7 was
to find keywords for our niche and to build my site around those
keywords. Keyword research is one of the hardest part of this process.
It takes time, specially if you don’t have a good keyword
research tool.
Luckly I have in my opinion one of the
greatest and smartest keyword tool out there. It is called Keyword
Elite by Brad Callen.
This is what I did using this tool:
- Create a keyword list:
Typed my main keyword in to project 1 to pull out keywords. You can
tell the program to pull out keywords from all the big search engines.
But I just wanted keywords from ask.com and
wordtracker. You can also tell how many keywords you want to return.
You can choose up to 10 000 keywords. But I prefer just to get 200
keywords and digg further with this keywords.
- Analyze pay per click listings:
I then highlight my keywords and send them to project 2 in keyword
elite. It will find competing websites, search’s per month,
number of adword ads, cost of pay per click for adwords and other
search engine pay per click such as Yahoo and Miva.
The tool can do much more then that,
things like, Analyze Keyword Competition, Spy on Adwords Competition
and much much more….It is better to see it in action then me
telling you with words..
Click here and go to KeywordElite.com to watch video
demonstrations of each project at the site.
As for choosing keywords after keyword
elite analysis your keywords I look at the number of searches, results
and adword ads. I go for keywords that have more than 450 searches per
month and under 300K results. And the keyword should have a good amount
of adword ads.
I forgot to tell. You should watch the
exact match results. You do that by putting your keyword between two
hypens, like this; “affiliate marketing”.
After I have researched and found my
40 keywords I put them on a spredsheet and save them to my niche folder.
Thats how I find my keyword..
Also I wrote a post to the blog I had
buid. This is important, you have to add content regularly to
your blog, actually one post every day. The search engines will see
that your blog is frequently updated and they will start to visit your
blog frequently and you will get ranking for many keywords.
Outsourcing, hiring writers
Now that I have found my 40 profitable
keywords it is time for the next process of my affiliate business. The
next step would be to write articles of this 40 keywords. I am going to
use this articles for the categories of my site.
Writing articles can be hard and time
consuming and I have to work smart and effectively not just hard. This
is the reason why I will outsource my articles to some professional
article writer. I am going to start 10 articles.
This is what I am going to do. I am
going to take 10 keywords out of my keyword list and hire an writer to
write 10 articles around this keywords.
You can find professional writers at
places like: www.elance.com and www.getafreelancer.com….
I am doing this because the
professional writer will write better articles than me. I have to have
killer articles. And as I said I want to work smart. In the meantime I
will work with other aspects of my business.
I am going to work with my site
actually. I am going to design my site and start the categories for my
site. I am going to try out a new web desig tool that I got recommended
by my mentor. I will tell about it when I have tried it out.
Make
Categories to my site and Site Building
I been contacting some article writers
to write my 10 articles. In the meantime while I am waiting for a
answer, I will continiue with my business.
Some great thing I have been learning
from my mentor Franck Silvestre is to have an organized site. It will
help you rank better in the search engines and it is much easier for
your visitors to follow your site.
I have been watching through my
keywords and been trying to find good categories for my site. Your
categories names should be your keywords with the more searches and the
more competetive ones. Then under this categories you should have your
articles with the long tail keywords as the title.
This is what I will be doing, trying
to structure my site the right way…..
For building my site I will use
designdashboard. I got that recommended by my mentor. It would be
easier to build the site with designdashboard because you almost just
point and click.
I have never built a website like this
before, only landing pages, so it will be challenging and fun. Now I
can outsource my site building to but I prefer to do it my self because
I will know what to do and I will know my site better.
Maybe I will outsource it if I
can’t manage to do it my self. I will play around with the
design dashboard in the weekend…..
Site building
process is moving on…
This is what I have been doing
lately…
I have been thinking of categories for
my site and I have made my mind for some categories and been writing
them down. The categories have been choosed according to my 40
keywords. I have been choosing the keyword with alot of searches and
the ones with most competition.
I have bought the designdashboard by
Marlon Sanders, I told you about last time and have been trying it out.
Marlon is one of the best Internet Marketing guru around and I
wasn’t surprised when I saw how great the designdashboard was.
You do everything step by step. You
start with creating a graphic header and he show you step by step on
how to do it. He has videos that shows you from scratch how to build a
header. I would recommend the tool and you should go and see for your
self
Click here: Designdashboard.com and go to the
site and see what I mean….
I will continue to work with my site
this week. I am waiting to hear from my article writer to see how it
goes. I have been giving the 10 keywords for the articles.
So that is what I have been doing in
the weekend, I have design the header for my site and started to work
on my first page.
